VOLUNTEER WITH
GILDA’S CLUB

Make a Difference in the Lives of Those Affected by Cancer

From the warm welcome at our front desk to the delicious dinners we serve our members before support group meetings, your generous spirit makes a world of difference and we’d love for you to join our amazing team!

With our growth to four locations, there are many opportunities to get involved—whether you want to team up with a group or volunteer on your own.

While Gilda’s Grinstead is our home base, we have exciting roles at our other three locations: Gilda’s West inside the YMCA at 17th and West Broadway, Gilda’s Floyd in downtown New Albany, and Gilda’s Clark in a charming rural setting off I-65N.

Join us in making a difference—our Volunteer Engagement Director, Jennifer Webb, can’t wait to welcome you at an upcoming volunteer orientation!

Have a special talent?

We’d love to hear your ideas!

Many of our awesome program offerings are led by Volunteers, including art, music, dancing, crafting, card making, journaling, Pilates, Reiki, meditation, yoga, Tai Chi, QiGong, and much more. You can even volunteer from the comfort of your home by moderating an online program—whatever works best for you!

For Groups

Group projects are a great way to support Gilda’s Club and often take just a couple of hours. Opportunities include sprucing up our landscaping, hosting a craft station at a family event, doing a deep clean, preparing for special events, or helping us assemble cheerful gift bags for our cancer care deliveries. Hosting a meal is a fantastic way to bond with family and friends or to engage a book, church or corporate group.

For Individuals

As a Greeter, you’ll be the warm and friendly face welcoming our participants as they walk through our doors! You could also step into the role of Clubhouse Host, preparing spaces for daily events, or be a Kitchen Host, helping our Meal Host Volunteers on dinner nights and Saturday brunches. If you enjoy meeting new people, consider becoming a Gilda’s Ambassador and representing us at health fairs! Or hit the road and help us make seasonal deliveries – it’s a great way to spread cheer.

For Students

Students of all ages are welcome! Whether you’re in grade school or pursuing your graduate degree, there’s a perfect role waiting for you. We offer plenty of opportunities that can help you earn required service hours, like being a Greeter or a summer Camp Gilda Jr. Counselor.
