Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana is where you come to learn how to live with cancer, whatever the outcome. Support and networking groups, lectures, workshops, music, art and social events, as well as structured programs for children and teens, help members build their own unique and customized community of support.

Since opening, Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana has served more than 25,000 people living with 60 different types of cancer. We are here for you no matter your cancer diagnosis.

It’s simple. Complete a quick form and have a chat either by phone or in person with one of our mental health professionals. This allows prospective participants to determine if our programs are a good fit and allows staff to offer customized recommendations for how to get the most from participation. You are welcome to attend many activities at the clubhouse with a quick RSVP.

Other than support groups and individual and family counseling, program offerings are open registration. If you want to join weekly support groups, you will answer a short questionnaire, then talk with one of our mental health professionals who will make sure you are placed in the right group for you!

Participating in Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana programming provides a community of others who understand you – offering you the social and emotional support needed while facing cancer and its after effects.

Children & families are welcome. Many activities are planned for the whole family to participate in together. If you would like to attend an activity not identified for the whole family, please contact us a minimum of 48 hours in advance to arrange for trained volunteers to provide supervised play for your child(ren) during the activity. We do our best to honor all requests and the more advanced notice we have, the more likely we are to be able to meet this need.

Gilda’s Club does offer limited one-on-one or family counseling.

Wellness groups are weekly support groups for men and women currently in treatment. Networking groups are monthly informative groups which are diagnosis or situation specific. All our support groups are led by licensed mental health professionals.

Named after the noogies that Gilda used to receive from Bill Murray on “Saturday Night Live,” Noogieland is a special place in the Grinstead clubhouse where kids can be kids, connect with other children and families and see they are not alone. We offer support to children, teens and families impacted by cancer through age-appropriate support and networking groups, social events, arts and crafts and family activities. Our program is designed to be a place for children and teens to learn, play, care and share – all while being supported by our professional staff and trained volunteers.

No, Gilda’s Club is non-residential, but our freestanding clubhouses have a warm and welcoming home-like atmosphere where members can relax and feel comfortable in a non-medical setting. Participants are welcome to visit the clubhouse to enjoy a cup of coffee, visit with other participants or relax prior to a group, event, activity or workshop.

Private individuals, corporate sponsors, and foundations provide enormous direct and in-kind support for the program activities and operational/clubhouse costs of Gilda’s Club. Donations to Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana support people touched by cancer living throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
