WHAT IS
GILDA’S CLUB?
FREE CANCER SUPPORT PROGRAMS & RESOURCES FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY.
Founded in 2005 by a group of six Louisville cancer survivors, Gilda’s Club Louisville opened its welcoming red doors in 2007, becoming the first cancer support community in the area. Just like Gilda Radner, these inspiring people recognized the need for social and emotional support for those facing cancer and wanted to ensure everyone could access that help free of charge. In 2018, Gilda’s Club Louisville proudly became Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana to better reflect the Kentucky and Southern Indiana communities we serve.
At Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana, we believe life is meant to be lived fully even when cancer is a part of it. We’re here to help you live your life, your way. Through our unique support community offering free mental health services, plus hundreds of monthly programs and events we uplift and strengthen individuals and families impacted by cancer. Together, we foster compassionate connections and break down barriers to care.
As Gilda Radner said, “Living with cancer is not a choice, how you live with it is.” Whether you’re in active treatment, a caregiver for someone with cancer, navigating survivorship, or grieving a loss, we’re here for you and your family.
